Durch Montage einer längeren Getriebeübersetzung werden die Drehzahlen des getunten Motors reduziert und die Höchstgeschwindigkeit deutlich erhöht. Die Malossi-Sportübersetzungen sind hauptsächlich geradeverzahnt. Dadurch wird der Verschleiss reduziert und durch die reduzierte Reibung wird die Leistung besser auf das Hinterrad übertragen.
